Welcome to The Learning Zone with Dr. Jones

The Learning Zone with Dr. Jones is an education organization focused on the design of joyful, equity-centered math curriculum for early learners. Our work centers Kindergarten mathematics, with an emphasis on number sense, mathematical thinking, and instructional practices that support how children learn and how teachers teach.

Grounded in education policy, systems design, and classroom realities, The Learning Zone develops curriculum with embedded teacher guidance, intentional sequencing, and observation-based assessment. We believe curriculum should provide clarity and confidence for educators, not add to instructional burden.

In addition to curriculum design and educator partnerships, The Learning Zone continues to offer individualized tutoring for elementary learners. This work informs and strengthens our curriculum development by keeping student learning experiences at the center.

The Learning Zone is guided by a core belief: math learning begins with safety, belonging, and understanding processes.
